How Many Do I Need

One Energyflow on the gas/oil line and one Energyflow on the water line is fine for the average house.

If your Boiler is over 50 KWH or 16,000 BTU, fit 2 Energyflows

If your waterpipe is over 25mm in diameter, fit 2 Thermoflows

How are they fitted
Just place the Energyflows against the fuel or water pipe and strap in place with the tie-wraps provided.   That’s all.   If you move house, remove them and replace in your new home, or use them as a selling point for your old home.

General Advice - Fuel

Always fit Energyflows as near to burners as possible, no more than 6 feet away from the point of combustion and not within 6 inches of any solenoid valve. If a large fuel pipe splits into several smaller pipes, fit to the latter.

Never fit to metal braided hoses (*Energyflow is attracted to rubber pipes with metal brading under the rubber) and be suspicious of stainless steel fuel pipes.

Copper, plastic and rubber pipes are OK, and most mild steel pipes work fine after a few days/weeks saturation period, but on some steel pipes it may take months, depending on wall thickness, steel type, distance from burner and firing times.

On oil-fired systems, you may find the water temperature is too hot after fitting the Energyflow.   If so, ask your plumber to fit a smaller burner

General Advice - Water

Fit the Energyflow on the mains by the stop cock - usually under the kitchen sink. Only fit to copper or plastic pipe NOT LEAD. (You will know if it is the mains by running the kitchen tap, and using the stopcock to turn it off.)

If there is a tank in the loft, it may be necessary to fit a Energyflow to every pipe coming out of the bottom of it.   If water is stored in the tank for hours before use, it may lose some of the magnetic treatment.
