High efficiency boilers

High efficiency boilers

Some ‘condensing’ boilers are quoted as being 95% efficient, but our devices still work with them for the following 2 reasons.

1. The quoted efficiency is for when the boiler is first fitted.     But as soon as the boiler has been running a few days, the hot air heat exchanger surfaces start to ‘soot’ up with carbon deposits, and the water heat exchanger surfaces start building limescale deposits.     Both of these will reduce the efficiency of the boiler.

Our devices for water & gas act to clean the heat exchanger surfaces, restoring the boiler efficiency to optimum.     We have an installation where they had a 35% reduction in running costs.     Much of this came from the clearing of the soot build-up in the boilers which had not been cleaned for a few years.

limescaleThe chart shows the drop in efficiency caused by Limescale alone.

Our devices remove this limescale from surfaces and stop more forming.   This cleaning process is automatic, needs no intervention, no wires or power supplies, and just keeps on working.       Expected product working life is 100 years.

Flame Temperatures 2. The quoted efficiency is based on the flame temperature achieved from burning standard fuel in the boiler.     Our devices seem to change the fuel to cause a better mix of air and fuel, a faster burn, a higher flame temperature and a more complete burn, causing fewer partially burnt fuel products, thus less pollution.

Tests done at a Sheffield steelworks showed that the flame burns hotter when an Ecoflow fuel conditioner is fitted..
